Student psychology can help you with issues such as studying at the University (e.g., doubts about your personal abilities and/or study method, excessive anxiety), inadequate academic performance, and psychological well-being during your studies. If you are a student and you are experiencing such kind of academic-related problems and/or personal difficulties, then student psychology is for you. Usually, besides using a Gestalt approach to address students' difficulties (read more on My Approach section), I work for strengthening cognitive performance, focusing on the metacognitive aspects of the study and supporting motivation, comprehension skills, organization and planning skills, and anxiety management.

Postnatal Doula / Postnatal Supporter
Postnatal support can help mothers and the whole family when they experience the wonderful blessing of Birth. Postnatal support is not a strictly psychological service, but it is rather focused on helping mothers in the emotional and physical healing process after Birth. My support ranges from emotional support to light household chores, postnatal food preparation ideal for healing and lactation, belly binding support (using the Bengkung Belly Bind technique), and relaxing massage inspired to the reflexology principles.
As a postnatal doula, I will work at your home, starting from the very immediate days after Birth. Different time schedules can be arranged. To read more please see my personal page.
Gestalt Therapy was born in the USA in the 1940s from the intuitions of the German psychoanalyst Frederick Perls, his wife Laura, and a group of American intellectuals among whom Paul Goodman and Isadore From. Developed as a revision to psychoanalysis, Gestalt therapy is an interactive and holistic form of psychotherapy that focuses on the total person, using a non-authoritarian and non-interpretive approach.
The word “gestalt” (of German origin) refers to a “whole, configuration, integration, pattern or form” and express a key concept for Gestalt therapy: the rejection of the dualities of mind and body, body and soul, thinking and feeling, and feeling and action. According to Perls, in fact, people are not made up of separate components, rather human beings function as a whole and define themselves in the continuous and inevitable interaction (contact) with the environmental and social contexts.
Focusing on the present therapeutic relationship between client and therapist, my goal as a therapist is to favor your awareness of the whole experience in the present moment (here and now). Through creative and experiential techniques (such as body work and drama), you will aim your attention at body perceptions, emotions, and feelings, and I will assist you in recognizing and meeting those aspects of your experience that tend to be out of awareness or in the background, but that may continue to interfere with your psychological functioning as unexpressed feelings (such as resentment, anger, guilt, grief).
This attention to the body, to its perceptions and emotions, will become like a compass to trust, which will allow you to recognize your real needs and to responsibly move in the world in the direction you authentically want.
